Understand the problem
I start with the problem and the operating constraints — latency, failure modes, authoring workflows, compliance, or legacy contracts — not with a framework.

Design the system
Architecture should simplify complexity. The smallest design that can absorb real constraints without becoming unmaintainable.

Move quickly without creating unnecessary technical debt. Clear interfaces, observable pipelines, and contracts teammates can use without a meeting.

Performance and real-world outcomes matter. Reliable software is a product feature — idempotency, error paths, and load time included.
